With the upcoming holiday, the fun and games can sometimes be overwhelming, yet at the same time exhilarating. For medical professionals though, this time of year means that there will be an increase in burn injury cases. In fact, according to national reports most fireworks accidents in the United States occur around the Fourth of July season.

Even with the smaller, less intense fireworks devices, operators can be severely injured if they are not careful. Sparklers can reach temperatures of up to 1800 degrees and burn dangerously close to the hand, the longer it is lit.

There are over 10,000 reported injuries per year and 40% of those injuries occur with children between the ages of 10-14 years. 1. Always have water handy

2. Do not alter or combine fireworks

Studies show that alcohol slows reaction time and overall response to external stimulus. It increases confidence and perceived capability. This combination equals more risk taking, with a slower response time in case something bad happens.

After reading through the little book I had my first li'l punkin complete in about an hour. Once I had enough to make a nice display on the front porch I proudly retired to my recliner for a little relaxing tv. Within 30 minutes the front doorbell was ringing with strangers who had driven by the house, noticed the painted pumpkins and were asking how much I would charge to paint them a couple of the little darlings.

I wanted something sexy for halloween, but nothing that was sluty looking. This was perfect in my opinion for a little something sexy. I got a medium and it was very tight, so if you like tight get the size you would get anyways, but if you want it a little looser, then get the next size up. I was also confused by what they meant by "Boot tops" So once I got the costume in the mail and saw what they meant by that, it is just something you put over your boots to make them look longer and all that. But they are not actually boots just to clear that up to those who may not know what they are. I was sad that the costume did not come with gloves, but it did come with eveything else in the picture, I just find that strange. Other then that, this costume is amazing and very fun.

Another idea is to use empty wrapping paper tubes. Cut a small slit in each end of the tube, you then thread one end of a set of lights through a slit. You can use this same concept with a square of cardboard. This may be a shape easier for you to store, also. Just make sure both ends of the string are secure in the two slits, so your Christmas lights dont end up unraveling and getting tangled anyway!
